Glass selection of aluminum doors and windows

There are many types of glass used for aluminum doors and windows. what types of glass are there? How should I choose?

Let me introduce them one by one.

1. Endothermic coated glass

The aluminum alloy door and window glass facing the sun or west side room should use heat-absorbing coated glass; the heat-absorbing coated glass can be used on the outdoor side of the room facing the sun or west, and the ordinary white glass should be used indoors.

Since the heat-absorbing glass absorbs infrared light, it can attenuate the incident solar energy by 20% -30%, and then reduce the heat energy entering the room. In summer, it can reduce the load of air conditioning; in winter, due to the absorption of infrared light, its temperature rises. This can resist the cold and achieve energy-saving effects. Since the endothermic glass is colored glass, so while saving energy, the decorative effect is also very obvious.

2. Insulating glass

Insulating glass is more energy-efficient. Since the thermal conductivity of the sealed central air layer is much lower than that of glass, the thermal insulation function of thermal insulation glass can be doubled compared with single-piece glass, which can greatly reduce the energy consumption of buildings equipped with air conditioning. In summer, the insulating rate of insulating glass can reach more than 70%. In winter, it insists that indoor heating is not easy to lose, and it can reduce heat loss by up to 40%, thereby playing a role in heat preservation, thereby making summer and winter warming a reality.

3. Tempered glass

Tempered glass belongs to safety glass. Tempered glass is actually a kind of prestressed glass. In order to enhance the strength of glass, chemical or physical methods are usually used to form a compressive stress on the glass surface. When the glass is subjected to external forces, it first offsets the surface stress, then increases the load-bearing capacity, and the glass itself is resistant to wind pressure, impact, etc. Tempered glass is now widely used in aluminum alloy doors and windows, curtain walls of high-rise glass buildings, indoor partition glass, lighting ceilings, sightseeing elevator passages, furniture, glass guardrails, etc.

If the glass on both sides of the room surface is tempered glass, the glass on the room surface will significantly improve the impact resistance and safety. Because the impact resistance of tempered glass is 5-10 times that of ordinary glass, and the bending resistance is 3-5 times that of ordinary glass, the safety function has been greatly improved.
